Ball Mastery Series

Ball Mastery courses aid in developing soccer specific footwork and techniques that will improve ball control, technical speed, coordination, agility, and balance.

Fast Footwork

Teaches feints and basic skills fundamental to developing comfort and mastery with the ball at your feet. A large focus of the class will also be speed and agility training that is imperative for players to reach the highest levels of performance. Click here to register

First Touch, Control, and Passing

Whether on the ground or in the air, a player’s first touch is paramount to their next decision. The focus here is on receiving the ball with proper technique and positioning. Players will also learn to improve the accuracy and variety of their distribution. Click here to register

One vs One

Players will learn attacking and defending in specific 1v1 situations. Individuals will gain the knowledge and confidence to be successful in 1v1 scenarios and begin to define their style of play. Click here to register

The Long Island Rough Riders are the exclusive training organization for Globall Sports Centers. Throughout the years, the Long Island Rough Riders have developed players of all ages and playing abilities. From developing successful travel team players to professional level athletes, the Rough Riders proven systematic instructional training program has catered to beginner, intermediate and advanced level soccer clubs.

Futsal Series

Futsal promotes better technique and develops skills more rapidly. Players must learn to settle the ball rapidly, chop sharply, shield effectively, pass quickly and move into space.
As Futsal is a game played on a small field, players are placed under pressure and develop the techniques necessary to think and play quickly.

Futsal 101

Introduces young players to the basic foot skills and coordination necessary to develop as a player. Click here to register

Futsal Footwork

Players will review basic techniques and learn the specific foot skills associated with the game of Futsal. Without control and technique players cannot expect to succeed in Futsal, or its outdoor counterpart - soccer. Click here to register

Futsal Tactics

Improves and maintains footwork while also teaching the tactics and game situations that arise when space is limited. Players will learn to play quickly in tight spaces, move into space, and build a better overall awareness for the game of soccer. Click here to register



Globall Sports Program
 
Globall Sports Program is an 8 week series of classes featuring both soccer and lacrosse instruction.  Participants will be exposed to 4 weeks of lacrosse training and 4 weeks of soccer training.  Lacrosse instruction will be offered by the premier staff from Black Diamond Lacrosse, while the soccer instruction will be provided by the professional coaching staff from the Rough Riders Soccer Club.

Goalkeeper Series

The Goalkeeper Series is a collection of courses that will provide goalkeepers with the fundamental techniques and understanding of the position while also introducing them to more advanced ideas as they progress through each course. Each course has a specific curriculum that will vary with each 8 week session . Players must meet the age requirements and be approved by a Course Instructor prior to advancing to the next level of training.

Goalkeeper 101

Introduces players to the basic techniques of goalkeeping. Focus will be on coordination, footwork, handling, and overall understanding of what it takes to be a great shot stopper! Click here to register

Intermediate Goalkeeper

Goalkeepers will learn more advanced techniques and tactics associated with the position while also perfecting those they have learned in previous goalkeeper courses. Click here to register

*Players interested in attending this course must have a minimum of 2 yrs GK training or gain approval from the course instructor.

Advanced Goalkeeper

Goalkeepers will receive the instruction needed to improve and maintain their technical skills while also beginning to make decisions in high-pressure situations. Themes stressed throughout each class will include communication, organization, fitness, and positional awareness. Junior Rough Riders Pre-Academy
 
Is your child interested in playing club soccer but you are unsure of where to begin? This introductory course will teach players fundamental skills through technical training and competitive games. Certified Rough Riders players and coaches will help players develop in the areas of 1v1’s, shooting, and small-sided games. Players will have a better understanding of their strengths and weaknesses and will be prepared come tryout season. Operation Kick-Start Academy
 
The Operation Kick-Start Academy introduces young players and beginners to the game of soccer.  Our professionally trained staff will teach your child to dribble, pass, and score goals in a fun and nurturing environment.  Participants will also be exposed to coordination and balance exercises which are imperative to a young player’s development. Striker Series
 
The Striker Series includes courses that are designed to provide players with the skills and knowledge necessary to score goals. Courses focus on the technical and tactical elements essential to creating and scoring goals in various scenarios and high-pressure situations.
 
Goal-Scoring 101
 
Teaches the basic technique of shooting. Shooting mechanics will be reviewed in detail and players will be taught various techniques including shooting for power and accuracy, volleying, and one-time finishes off the cross or pass. Click here to register
 
Finishing School
 
Reviews the basic shooting technique while also focusing on positioning in front of goal. Players will be exposed to game-like situations when opponents are introduced and high pressure finishing is in demand. It is suggested that participants attend Goal-Scoring 101 before attending this course. Finishing School – Advanced
 
This advanced course will mainly focus on more complex scenarios such as finishing off the cross, volleying and positioning under high pressure. Players will be exposed to high level opposition while trying to perfect their finishing techniques. Click here to register
 

 
Strikers and Goalkeepers
 
This is a combined course.  Goalkeepers will participate in a Goalkeeper Series  course taught by a goalkeeper trainer.  Strikers will learn the mechanics of shooting and positioning in front of goal in a Striker Series course.  Players will be offered technical training with their position specific coach prior to game-related play in which training groups are combined.
