The Long Island Rough Riders 1st Annual Kickoff Classic will be including an international club.  The Rough Riders have formally invited the U.S. Triestina’s to travel to the U.S. to participate in this tournament.  The Triestina’s hail from Triest, Italy and were founded in 1918.

Due to the success of the Independence Cup, the Rough Riders have decided to create a new outdoor tournament, the Kickoff Classic.  The tournament is designed for competitive teams to prepare for their upcoming season.

LOCATION: Bethpage State Park Polo Fields

FORMAT:

SAT: 1 Day Tournament : U-9 to U-11 age groups.
SAT & SUN: 2 Day Tournament: U-12 to U-15 age groups.

U-9 & U-10: 8 v 8 (7 Players + 1 Goalkeeper), 65 X 45 yd field, Minimum of (3) 40 min games, 14 player roster

U-11: 9 v 9 (8 Players + Goalkeeper), 65 x 45 yd field, Minimum of (3) 40 min games, 16 player roster

U-12 to U-15: 11 v 11 (10 Players + Goalkeeper), 100 x 65 yd field, Minimum of (2) 60 min games, 18 player roster

AWARDS: Team trophies will be presented to the teams that finish 1st and 2nd in each division.

TIME: Please plan on spending your day at the tournament. Saturday’s games begin early in the morning usually with the younger age groups. As the day progresses the older age groups will begin to play and the games end before dark. Sunday’s games will begin early in the morning and be completed before noon.

BRACKETS: The age groups will be broken into major and minor divisions only when the appropriate amount of teams are registered (minimum of 6 teams).  We will do our best to avoid scheduling back to back games.

SAT ONLY:  U-9 to U-11: $365 / $325 early bird (by July 15)

SAT & SUN: U-12 to U-15: $425 / $395 early bird (by July 15)
